Fine Wines & Premium Spirits

WhiskeyWe here at Pagosa Brewing Company™ feel that although handcrafted beer is some of our favorite beverages, other drinks like wine and spirits have their place at the bar too.

While we are prohibited by state law from making our own wine or spirits, our brewpub license does allow us to feature other producers.

To complement our national award-winning handcrafted beers, we have selected a range of premium top-shelf spirits including some micro-distillers as well as fine wines from highly regarded small production vineyards and meaderies. Below is a the starting point of the a few of the brands we have found to have exceptional quality and a enjoyably smooth. Please stop by for a sample or a flight!

Fine Wines:

Toad Hollow - Cabernet Sauvignon (Sonoma)
Cabernet Sauvignon (Sonoma) This is the marriage of Cabernet Sauvignon with a touch of Petit Syrah, Syrah and Cabernet Franc. A meritage of great varietals to compliment the grand center of the Cabernet Sauvignon grape.

Trapiche - Malbec Oak Cask (Mendoza Argentina)
This excellent Argentinian Malbec is intense and beautiful in colour -dark with hints of violet- and is remarkable for its predominant sweet aromas of berries and plum jam. The light oak gives it and elegant smoky and vanilla touch.

Big House - The Prodigal Son - Petit Syrah (Monterey)
Full body, dark, attractive and rich. Imagine very ripe blueberries with notes of dark chocolate and overtones of creamy oak.

White Wine, Red Wine7 Deadly Zins - Red Zinfandel (Lodi)
A vibrant, sweet bouquet of raspberry jam, molasses and cinnamon toast evoke the senses of carefree youthful nights. Excellent oak integration provides silken tannins and spice to pair with Lodi's wild berry fruit.

Artesa Chardonnay (Napa)
Lemon blossoms, green apple and honeydew melon are front and center in this Chardonnay.
This crisp fruitiness is combined with nuances of creme brule, vanilla, toasted macadamia and humidor cedar making this wine both easy to enjoy and seductively complex. Supple and silky yet crisp enough for food, a great accompaniment for food and friends

Shoofly Chardonnay (Adelaide Hills, South Australia)
This zippy Chardonnay offers aromas of tropical fruit, peaches and melon while on the palate; grapefruit and lemon zest are complemented by zingy acidity.

Ferrari Carano - Fume Blanc (Sonoma)
Zesty flavors and aromas of grapefruit, citrus and honeydew mingle with a subtle grassy note that is complemented by a lingering finish of mango and guava.

Santa Ana - Torrontes (Mendoza, Argentina)
Enticing aromas that are strikingly similar to Viognier, with hints of peach pit, flowers, and orange citrus fruit. On the palate, it has a beautiful structure and acidity along with enticing fruit flavors that keep you coming back for another sip and plenty of body for a wine that shows such delicate aromas and flavors.

Redstone Mead - Traditional & Apricot Nectar (Boulder)
"Some in imbibing circles claim mead was the first fermented beverage. The ancient drink is still around and, what's more, it's the of-the-moment thing to drink now in the Rocky Mountain state. Colorado's own Redstone Meadery in Boulder produces a fine one."
--Splendid Table, National Public Radio
